Welcome to "Green Wood Model Railway"

The layout started on a simple 8x4 board that was to be hinged against a wall, and has undergone several phases before ending up as it is now about 22' by 9' double loop. It lives in a tin agricultural shed in the garden and has to contend with dust, mice and an assortment of creepy crawlies, as well as extremes of temperature, even though I have tried to contain it in it's own cacoon.

I try and make things rather than buy them: trees, sheds, walls, water towers etc. Some things turn out quite well, other things need a bit more work. It is all recorded here: the sucesses and the failures.

I am not too hung up on era or location, but I like it to feel in and around 1965(ish).

Anyway: I hope you enjoy the website and gleam a few ideas.

                                  Thanks!
